Oh, hi there...

THE IFB WEEKLY ROUNDUP: LINKS À LA MODE: OCTOBER 6TH

International Intrigue

Edited by Taylor Davies

This weeks selections for Links a la Mode take us all around the globe and back again. From vintage shopping in Paris and Istanbul to picking the best from fashion weeks abroad, our community is buzzing with news and thoughts from overseas.

Of course we couldn't leave out some more local stories entirely, so we've sprinkled in a selection of fall inspirations from some American bloggers; from menswear to DIY projects to some ethical debates in advertising and journalism.

I’m not sure about you, but just as men look forward to Fall for sporting events that keep them on the couch, I look forward to Fall for my own selfish reasons......adding to my closet collection!

If you enjoy sipping a cup of coffee while you browse your favorite online shopping sites, or if you prefer to rise with the sun to open the doors of your favorite Mall, Fall shopping is the time for you.

Thanks to Fashion Week, we have all had a chance to peek at the newest clothing, boots and accessories that will be filling up retail stores everywhere this season.

Upcoming Posts on Kyoto Maiko

In two weeks, I will be headed to Japan to pay my taxes and renew my drivers license, and so I will be snapping Japanese street style for my They Wear section, which I haven't done in at least a year.

I have also decided that I will be applying to Yale, Princeton, Cornell, Baylor, and University of Connecticut, for my PhD program, and I plan to visit the campuses in spring.

Keep tuned in!
