The IFB Weekly Roundup: LINKS À LA MODE: September 8th

Be Authentically You!
Edited by: Fajr of Stylish Thought

The IFB conference is over and the dust is finally settling. After a day of being immersed in the power and study of blogging, I’m left thinking about what I learned from IFB this season. Without a doubt, the unequivocal theme was to blog and be authentically you. From building your blogging tool kit to balancing it all, being unique and putting what you love into the blogging space is the best method to lasting blogging success.

Lands' End Hyde Park Oxford

Came across this heavy, stiff, and seemingly new Lands' End Hyde Park oxford cloth button down, made in the USA. It's boxy on me. Not surprising when I am actually someone for whom the "trim fits" and what have you actually fit better. However, I imagine it will see quite a bit of use in the late fall and winter when I will probably wear a thick undershirt below it and a layer or two over it. It just needs a bajillion washes to get as soft and comfortable as my much older (for a few, significantly older) OCBDs.

New Loafers!

What does $37 and a good deed get you? These:

Yep. That's several hundred dollars of footwear for being nice to a friend and $37 at a thrift store. I just love the Ralph Lauren penny loafers, but all the Colehaans are nice too. I probably won't keep the black buckle pair, I'll be putting them on Ebay.
